Here's the second one.

The wonderful use of language here is what attracted me to this fic the most, but I also love how it deals with the fallout of season 1's finale, Destiny. It's simple, but unconventional.
Quote: I stared at the quilt. One blue patch, one yellow, one red, each edge sewn with thread the same color as each square. It was a simple pattern. Square patches, primary colors. Simple.

My life used to be like that. Direct. Obvious. Date in high school, get good grades, go to college, marry, settle down, have kids...

The squares blurred and reformed into large, blossoming circles, the colors bleeding out towards each other, drowning the white squares between them.

I used to know how to live my life.

And now that it was gone, I had no idea what I was supposed to do next.
